Our Mission

Paul summarizes much of the church's mission when he bursts forth and says, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21)

The church of the Lord Jesus Christ, and Westminster as one local expression of the universal church, exists to glorify God. We seek to do this by organizing our life together around His Word. We preach and teach this Word, which is the engine for everything else we do. We gather regularly to draw near to God in worship, where he has promised to meet with us. We celebrate Baptism and the Lord's Supper, which are pictures of the fact that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” (1 Timothy 1:15). We ourselves find transformation by the power of this gospel message. And we pray and work together to see that message known by people throughout the world. We work together with other churches at a regional level and national level with the Great Commission in mind (Matthew 20: 19-20).
