Our Beliefs
To put it briefly, we receive and confess the Word of God written by the prophets and apostles in the Bible. We believe the Bible is true and fully trustworthy. We want it to be the foundation of all our teaching and where we look for answers to all our spiritual questions. Though the Bible, and not the church, is infallible, we believe that the early church was correct when it summarized biblical teaching in the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed. We also believe that the church in the years following the Protestant Reformation produced some very helpful and accurate documents. We receive the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Shorter Catechism and the Larger Catechism as accurate summaries of what the Bible teaches.
