We are Reformed in doctrine, Presbyterian in polity,
and Evangelical in outreach.
Reformed Theology
We affirm the gospel truths that were recovered in the
Protestant Reformation: Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone),
Sola Christus (Christ Alone), Sola Gratia (Grace Alone), Sola
Fide (Faith Alone), and Soli Deo Gloria (Glory to God Alone).
Likewise, we embrace the Westminster Standards (The
Westminster Confession of Faith, and the Larger and
Shorter Catechisms) as containing the system of doctrine
taught in the Holy Scriptures.
Presbyterian Polity
The word "Presbyterian" simply refers to our form of
church government. The local church has its governing
body, the session. The regional church has its governing
body, the presbytery. And the whole church has its
governing body, the general assembly.
Evangelical
We see the primary reason for our existence as the
glorification of the name of our Triune God through
faith in and obedience to His revealed Word. This means,
among other things, that we aspire to be faithful to the
Great Commission (Mt. 28:18-20) through gospel witness
and the support of Christian missions, both at home and
abroad.
